Shelly Li founded Sprout in 2014 after watching dump trucks haul away mountains of discarded electronics outside her Duke University dorm and seeing recoverable value where others saw waste. She brought early experience from Morgan Stanley and McKinsey to a problem most enterprises hadn't thought to solve. Under her leadership, Sprout evolved from Smart Metals Recycling into a full technology lifecycle platform, building SmartERP to give enterprises real-time visibility, compliance, and value recovery in one connected system.
